Splat

More of Black Dragonfly, a character whom I've recently brought back from my past character inventory. This character had really slipped to the farthest corner of my mind until my new fascination for dragonflies lead me back to him and he received a new redesign. Originally an assassin by the name of Triple D, or DDD, now his name stands at Black Dragonfly with several of the wonderful qualities of the insect added to his personality.

This picture was much intended to be a quick, practice that instead lead to an extended and more detailed picture xD haha Overall i'm very happy with the result, trying out new sets of brushes and a new way of coloring without using too many layers. Black Dragonfly has proven to be a lovely test subject. I really enjoy his almost black and white color palette and adding just that slight splash of color completes him. Black Dragonfly's outfit differs a bit from his original simply with an added duffle coat. Not too much into the story, a couple of sisters lend him their father's coat that later helps keep him incognito and from that point on becomes his all time outfit. He still keeps his leather outfit underneath minus the double split scarves. Here's a past reference to his outfit before the duffle coat: wolf-soul17.deviantart.com/art…. Chronologically at the same time, Black Dragonfly is forced to hide his old ways from the two sisters but as the girls are soon targeted by the same corporation he once worked for, he has no choice but to protect them the only way he knows how.

The background was done to symbolize the Black Dragonfly and his conflicting past. Hope you all enjoy! ^^
